Mandarin Oriental Main Chandelier
About the Project
This bespoke glass installation was created for the Mandarin Oriental Muscat. Designed to integrate directly with the hotel's interior architecture, the installation draws from traditional Omani craftsmanship, translated through custom color, form, and material composition.
Hand-blown glass elements, suspended at varying heights, form a luminous constellation referencing the lanterns of regional souks and coastal settlements. The palette takes cues from the surrounding landscape — desert ochres, sea-glass blues, and pearl whites.
The composition balances structured geometric repetition with organic fluidity, utilizing soft light diffusion through artisanal glass to anchor the central space.
